So my 10gallon tank currently has 1 male guppy in it named ‘Flip’. He isn’t friendly, so I can’t put any more fish in the tank. But he’s one strong fish who seems to be handling the tank just fine, so he’s a keeper.
I checked the ammonia levels last week, after a huge ordeal trying to purchase test strips that required driving the 15 miles to Petco..twice! Then waiting 20 min. in the store, while they try to find what I need. Next time I’m going to the local store, even if they are more expensive.
The levels still aren’t right, but they are looking better. I also got some plant bulbs that may or may not grow in the tank… we’ll see. I’m totally new at this. My test strip purchase was missing the color chart (thanks Petco). Below is the one I found online that I’m trying to use. Also, shout out to Keith, and his great site (www.firsttankguide.net). Lots of information for beginners!
